We’re back with a new episode of our SCS On The Road series, and this time we’re taking you behind the scenes at the Renault Trucks Engine Plant in Lyon, France!
During our visit to SOLUTRANS last year (a major transport and logistics expo), our friends at Renault Trucks kindly invited us on a special tour of their Engine Plant, which we’re excited to share with you today! Join Nemiro, our PR & Marketing Manager, and Patrice Berger-Perrin from Renault Trucks' Corporate Communications team as we begin with a visit to their historic museum, located in one of the company’s oldest buildings, designed and constructed in 1916. The museum showcases the rich timeline of Renault, highlighting the vehicles and innovations that have shaped the brand for over a century.
Following the museum visit, the tour continues into the heart of the production line, where we explore how Renault Truck engines (and others) are built, from the initial stages of assembly to the final quality checks. Along the way, Patrice shares valuable insights into the workforce, the assembly process, the structure of the production lines, and the technology used to create each and every engine.
A big thank you to the Renault Trucks team for the warm welcome and for giving us the opportunity to share this fascinating look into their operations and history with our #BestCommunityEver. If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to subscribe, hit the like button, and leave a comment, we'd love to hear from you. We look forward to seeing you for the next one, until then, keep on truckin’!
The way to survive in modern society is to be an ascetic. It is to retreat from society. There’s too much society everywhere you go…The only solution is turn it off.
